Most homeowners only think about the finished product. But what happens in the middle of a roof replacement is just as important as the shingles you see when the job is done. That's why we stop and inspect as we go.

Here's what we were working with - a multi-section residential roof mid-installation. You can see the TriBuilt synthetic underlayment laid across the exposed sections, with new asphalt shingles already installed on portions of the roof. That underlayment isn't just a temporary layer. It's your home's last line of defense against water intrusion if anything gets past the shingles. Using quality synthetic underlayment instead of the old felt paper means better tear resistance, better moisture protection, and a longer-lasting result overall.

We don't just show up, nail shingles down, and call it a day. Every section gets checked before we move to the next. Valley transitions, drip edges, underlayment overlaps - these are the spots that cause problems years down the road if they're rushed or ignored. Catching an issue mid-install costs nothing. Fixing a leak after the fact costs a lot more.

That's the mindset we bring to every roof replacement. Slow down where it matters. Don't cut corners on the layers nobody sees. Your home's protection depends on what's underneath just as much as what's on top.

If your roof is getting up there in age - or you've noticed granules in the gutters, curling edges, or soft spots - it's worth having someone take a look before small issues become expensive ones.
